Welcome to Dixie Cajuns’ Creations where we offer a line of different homemade items, such as aprons and dolls, which we pour lots of time and love into. We pray that you enjoy browsing our website and that hopefully we can be of service to you and your family. Please keep a watch as we begin to build our website and list new products!

My name is Josephine Lirette and I am venturing on a new road in my life.

I was born and raised a Cajun on the bayous of Southeast Louisiana in a little town called Chauvin, where we would look out of our front room window and watch the trawl boats traveling to the Gulf of Mexico to catch a harvest of fresh shrimp and crabs. My husband and I, along with two of our daughters evacuated Louisiana 12 hours before Hurricane Katrina destroyed our home state.

We now live on a produce farm in the heart of Dixie in Alabama. Therefore birthing the name….Dixie Cajuns’ Creations.

I am the Mom to 5 children, 3 whom are married, and Grandmaw to 9. My oldest daughter, Sandy, and her family have recently moved in with and have become a big help to me.

I began our home business when my husband of 33 years was killed by a 21 year old drunk driver on May 11, 2008 (Mother’s Day). Left without someone to provide for me and my family, we began the quest of starting a home business while continuing to follow the Scriptures of Titus 2 and Proverbs 31. You may read my complete bio at Gleaning The Harvest.

May you be blessed as your visit here with us at Dixie Cajuns’ Creations!
